I’m the second (and lesser) “Ray” on the pastoral team, serving with our Family Ministry as a Sunday School teacher and Youth Group volunteer. I studied psychology and have worked in education and consulting, but these days I’m a stay-at-home dad and part-time seminary student. I moved to Boston in 2014 to marry my wife, Karolyn, and we now have two young children. Having grown up in an unstable and abusive home, I’m deeply grateful to God for the healing and redemption I’ve experienced through my family—and through the grace I’ve found in our church community after a painful season elsewhere. I find joy in helping others encounter the God who sees, knows, and comforts us in our suffering. I’d love to connect about marriage, family, parenting, youth ministry, or finding hope in hardship—or just as happily about lighter things like puns, ultimate frisbee, mental health, faith, sushi, or Jackbox.
